Nashville recording artists Randy Woody and the Southbound Band will be opening for Montgomery Gentry at Cotton Eyed Joe in Knoxville, TN on May 26th, 2016. Randy Woody and the Southbound will be preforming their latest originals from their new album Sing Me Back to Dixie recorded in Nashville, Tn.
“Country music is the psyche of the common middle class hard working American and without country music this group of people I am proud to be a part of has no outlet.” says Randy Woody lead singer and song writer for the Southbound Band.
Randy Woody and the Southbound Band has gained a solid reputation as Tennessee’s premier country music, dance, party and show band. With originals that have been described as “Songs with substance” and “an intoxicating heartbreak”. If you look at the band’s experience it’s no surprise. The members of Randy Woody and the Southbound Band are no strangers to the performing world, with the first performance in 2006. The chemistry that has evolved from these guys coming together is amazing.
Randy Woody and the Southbound Band has worked with David Allan Coe, Confederate Railroad, Heidi Newfield, of Trick Pony Fame, Joey and Rory, Gretchen Wilson, Trent Tomlinson, and the Kentucky Head Hunters. Southbound has also been featured multiple times on WJSQ’s “Rising Stars” with Bill Hughes in Knoxville, TN. Randy Woody and the Southbound Band proudly continues to carry on the tradition of Outlaw County Music.
